Daily — but not the way you might think. The practice that builds real skill isn't marathon readings; it's a single card, every day, with a moment of reflection.
The Daily Draw
Pull one card each morning. Spend 30 seconds with it: what's your gut reaction? What might this mean for today? Write it down if you want (Chaos Tarot's Oracle tier includes a journal for this). At the end of the day, revisit: did the card's energy show up? Over weeks, you'll develop an intuitive relationship with each card that no amount of reading about tarot can replicate.
Bigger Readings
Full spreads (Celtic Cross, relationship layouts) work best when you have a specific question and aren't reading on the same topic repeatedly. A good rule: don't ask the same question twice within a week. If you keep asking, you're not seeking guidance — you're seeking validation for the answer you already want.
When Not to Read
Don't read when you're in an extreme emotional state about the question. If you're panicking about a relationship, you'll project panic into every card. Wait until you can approach the question with genuine curiosity rather than desperate need. The cards respond to the quality of attention you bring.
Chaos Tarot's free tier is designed around this rhythm: one draw per system per day. Enough for a meaningful daily practice. More isn't always better in divination.
