Water over fire — every line is in its proper place. After completion. Success in small matters. Perseverance furthers. At the beginning good fortune, at the end disorder. The perfectly balanced hexagram — every yin and yang in its ideal position. The deployment is complete, all tests pass, all services green. But this is the moment of maximum entropy risk. Perfection is the precursor to decay. Maintain vigilance.

The Six Lines — Changing Line Oracles

When a line is “changing” (old yin or old yang), its oracle activates. These texts reveal the specific mutation occurring at that position in the hexagram.

Line 1 (Yang — solid) — Bottom

He brakes his wheels. He gets his tail in the water. No blame. Slowing down at the finish line — prudent caution after success.

Line 2 (Yin — broken)

The woman loses the curtain of her carriage. Do not run after it. On the seventh day you will get it. Small losses after completion — don't chase them, they'll return.

Line 3 (Yang — solid)

The Illustrious Ancestor disciplined the Devil's Country. After three years he conquered it. Inferior people must not be employed. The long campaign after initial success — maintaining conquered territory is harder than taking it.

Line 4 (Yin — broken)

The finest clothes turn to rags. Be careful all day long. Even the best code degrades without maintenance.

Line 5 (Yang — solid)

The neighbor in the east who slaughters an ox does not attain as much real happiness as the neighbor in the west with his small offering. Simple maintenance outperforms spectacular but late fixes.

Line 6 (Yin — broken) — Top

He gets his head in the water. Danger. The completed system floods — final entropy claim. Head underwater: the last, most dangerous moment.
